Stella’s Restaurant & Deli, located at 4646 50th St. (50th and Utica), is the place in Lubbock to eat modern New York Italian food in an elegant atmosphere. In 1998, Billy Rizo brought the family business here from, you guessed it, New York. The restaurant originally opened in 1998 right across from the Texas Tech campus. It wasn’t until 2001 that they moved to their current location.

Stella’s offers up great food, a beautiful lounge complete with TVs and a fireplace, patio seating for beautiful evenings, and live music on weekends. The menu includes sandwiches, pizzas, pasta, seafood, good red meats, and fantastic desserts! The Sunday brunch is top-notch. If you are a fan of waffles and breakfast pizza then you need to come here on a Sunday.

Looking for a place with private dining? Stella’s has a private dining room to accommodate up to 90 people. It is a great room for birthdays and family gatherings. They also offer catering for any event.

We experienced wonderful service at our two-top right by the fireplace. There are a few spots in Lubbock with premier martinis, and this is one of those places. Keep an eye out for their Martini Trio – think mini-martini flight! We recommend the Stellapolitan! They also have beers, wines, and other Stella drink favorites. With the dim lighting and sitting in plush comfy chairs, we settled in for a long while. If you have yet to check out Stella’s, put it on your shortlist.
