You may have seen this new tagline floating around our website and social media pages, but what does “See. Do. Live. More” really mean?
Believe it or not, Lubbock is growing! The Milwaukee corridor is sprouting with new eateries, hotels, and shopping areas! North Slide is being developed with an anchor of the Alamo Drafthouse followed by local restaurants you may see in other cities (Twisted Root, anyone?). We often get stuck in “our” side of town and don’t venture to other areas. Have you seen North Slide? It is hardly recognizable from just a couple of years ago. Also, there is life past 82nd Street! Traffic? That is one of the benefits of Lubbock. A 20ish minute drive will get you from one end of town to the other.
Lubbock is far from boring. Movie theaters, concerts, outdoor plays, restaurants, gyms, indoor basketball courts, tennis courts, drive-in theater, museums, collegiate sporting events, shopping, bakeries, coffee shops, art centers, pools, wine bars, live music, food trucks and a lot more. Go do something. Lubbock is home to five wineries and a couple of wine bars. Have you seen the WWII glider at the Silent Wings Museum? First Friday Art Trail is the first Friday of each month. The Downtown Farmer’s Market offers produce, handmade items, cheeses, baked goods, pizza, and a lot more. Have you been out to the Range? It is a casual driving range where you can get a bucket of beer, play washers, grub on pizza from Crusty’s on some nights, and enjoy some friend time under the lights.
Life is too short. Get out there and enjoy living in Lubbock. Don’t get stuck in a rut! Explore all the great stuff right in our own backyard. Get involved in your community through your neighborhood, schools, churches, organizations, and charity groups. Volunteer Lubbock is always looking for people to lend a helping hand.
