Pie Five Pizza opened up in the West End shopping center (2912 W. Loop 289) a little over a month ago. We have gone numerous times and are very happy Pie Five is now in Lubbock.
Think Subway. You walk in and get in line. You can either view a menu or there is a menu board while you wait in line. First, you start with the freshly rolled crust. Most people are trying to be healthy this time of year so go with the artisan thin or gluten-free. The classic pan is great as well. Next, pick your sauce. I like to do a mix of the tuscan marinara and buffalo ranch. Choose between spicy marinara, BBQ, ranch, olive oil, and alfredo. Next down the line is your cheeses, meats, and veggies. There are many options such as as ricotta, mozzarella, beef, bacon, pepperoni, pineapple, olives, spinach, tomatoes, etc… The ingredients are fresh and delicious. The “Pizza-Ristas” will bake your pizza for just a couple of minutes and it will be hot and ready almost as soon as you’re done paying. Your name will be called and you will pick up your pizza, but wait there’s more…. The last stop is the Fresh Finishes. Top your pizza off with fresh basil, magic dust, pesto, cilantro, and feta. If you are not feeling creative, there are also signature pizzas that you can choose or mix and match.
If you are not a pizza fan… 1. not sure why you are at a pizza place and 2. there are salad options for you! Like the pizza, the salad will be tossed in front of you. Pie Five also has one of those fancy touch screen drink dispensers. Add flavors like vanilla or cherry to your soda or have some ginger peach tea. Finish it all off with a brownie!
The pizza is $6.99. No extra charge for toppings. You can also bundle drink, desserts, salad for less than $12. Don’t forget to check out the lunch specials! And become a member of their Circle of Crust rewards program.
