We often hear this is an “Austin Style” or “California Style” pizza. I don’t know quite know what that means, but either way it is great pizza in an awesome atmosphere. Perhaps the California feel comes from the surf board decor and the relaxed environment. Grab a menu and choose from an impressive list of gourmet meats, cheeses, fresh veggies, and crusts. What makes them gourmet? I like to think of the words slow simmered, all natural, healthy, and environmentally responsible. You can build your own pizza or choose from the West Crust signature pies. Fan favorites are Hill Country (turkey bacon, pecan, red onion, feta, mozzarella and olive oil) and LITL’s favorite is the classic pepperoni with feta, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Don’t fret, gluten-free and vegan friends. There are options for you too!
Just order at the counter, grab an artisan soda, and wait for your pizza to be hand delivered to your table. Did I mention the artisan soda? It is awesome. I enjoy testing each flavor, as well as mix and matching different combinations. Your options are ginger root beer, wild berry, cherry cola, vanilla creme, and diet colas (made with Stevia).
Keep in mind that West Crust can get very busy, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. However, the service is great. You wouldn’t know that they had 20+ pizzas before yours. I am always impressed with the staff and quality of my pizza. There are a few options for eating one of these pizzas. You can dine-in, call in and carry out, or try the new take and bake option. West Crust has been recognized by KCBD, Food Network Magazine, and Texas Monthly. The Food Network also named West Crust the best in Texas!!
