La Madeleine

DSC_0120 The extensive menu includes salads, sandwiches, soups, pastas, chicken, and don’t forget delicious pastries and desserts! After perusing the menu and making your selections, wander back to the drink station area. There you will find soft drinks, teas, and coffees. In addition to the drinks, be sure to pick out some bread and butter or even marmalade.

I enjoyed a delicious cup of country potato soup and a Caesar salad. La Mad is also known for its tomato basil soup, and it lived up to the hype! In addition to my meal, I picked out a chocolate croissant. It was so yummy! Others in our group got a hot turkey and brie sandwich and a plate of pesto chicken pasta. We all enjoyed our dishes and recommend them to our LITLites!

There are several different rooms to dine in – there’s even a beautiful fireplace separating two dining areas for perfect ambiance. It was a very unique and unexpected layout. The decor is exactly what you expect… French country. Pale yellow walls with wooden accents and miscellaneous wall hangings, pictures, plates, and light fixtures. The French atmosphere is enhanced by nice bistro music playing throughout the restaurant. There is even an outdoor patio area with several tables for pleasant weather days.

Wish you could bottle up that delicious tomato basil soup in a jar to take home? Go right ahead- jars of soups and bottles of salad dressings are available for purchase.

It is good, but be sure to check the nutrition facts, it is pretty shocking! :)
