We are often asked about different services in Lubbock and animal boarding is a big one! Today we are featuring K9CareLBK. They are different from many other boarding businesses in town because they board at their own home and offer home visits. Curious? Check out our interview with Bailey DeKoning, co-owner of K9CareLBK.
How does this work?
We limit the number to five dogs per night. The holidays are the busiest. The animals have access to a large part of the home with access to all of the furniture. We allow the pets to come in and out when they would like (when weather permits). There is concrete under the fence so your adventurous pups don’t try to escape. Your pet will be monitored 24/7 by humans and cameras around the property. Dogs that are in heat or show any signs of aggression will be in a separate area of the yard which includes a separate entrance to the house.
You board cats and dogs? Any issues with them getting along?
We mostly do home visits for cats, but we do have a separate room with cat condos.
We require all vaccinations to be up-to-date with no leniency. We require a copy for each pet which we save hard copies and digitally to my phone as well (just in case of an emergency vet visit).
Do you offer a service of texting/sending pictures of pets to overly concerned owners such as myself?
You can ask any of our clients that have stayed with us and they will tell you they received updates every day for their pets.
If you are more comfortable with your pet at the their own home, K9CareLBK also does home visits. Check out these services:
