Buddy Holly Summer Showcase Series
Buddy Holly Center Courtyard: 1801 Crickets Ave

Every Thursday from 5:30pm-7:30pm. In addition to great live music, the BHC also provides free educational children’s activities for families to enjoy throughout the series. Admission to all the Buddy Holly Center’s exhibitions is free during the concerts. There is a cash bar with beer and wine. You cannot bring in your own drinks. Some artists throughout the summer will include Element, Dix Hat Band, Jenni Dale Lord, Mariachi Lindo, and many more.

LITL Tip: Get there as early as possible. Tables go quick! Bring cash if you want drinks.

McPherson Cellars Patio Nights
1615 Texas Ave

Every Thursday from 7pm-10pm. This backs up to the BHC weekly concert, so it makes for a great evening out! Enjoy the sunset with live music, a glass of wine, and food from Crusty’s Pizza and/or the Twist’d Texan food truck. Bo Garza will close out the May lineup. Free admission. $4.50 for a glass of wine. Cash/card accepted.

LITL Tip: Go during tasting hours and buy a bottle of wine to enjoy all night for a better price. Come early if you have a large group.

Cactus Theater Live Music
1812 Buddy Holly Ave

Wonderful musicians every Friday and Saturday. Tribute bands, local bands, and more!

LITL Tip: You must try the famous Cactus ‘Rita and delicious popcorn. 

 

Lubbock Downtown Farmer’s Market
19th and Buddy Holly Ave

Every Saturday from 9am-1pm. Runs June-October. Come to the market to grab some fresh produce, cheese, eggs, dairy, fruit, veggies, breads, flowers, meat, coffee, pizza, crafts, and a variety of other vendors.

LITL Tip: Some vendors only accept cash. People storm that place at 9am. You’ll want to get there early for the best selection.

First Friday Art Trail
Various Venues

Every first Friday of the month from 6pm-9pm. Free admission into venues. You have the opportunity to view art and buy it all while you have a glass of wine in hand. Take the trolley from various venues and enjoy a perfect evening.
