Location: A LITL fave is opening up its second location! It is currently located at 82nd and Indiana. They have a variety of teas, coffees, water, and ice! The second location will be at 4th and Frankford.
Opening: Late July-Early August
Second location opening up in the Overton area at 2323 Mac Davis. The current location is at 98th and Quaker. The new location will be non smoking and have a large patio. Construction will begin soon and they are hoping for an August 2014 opening.

This farm-to-table concept will open in downtown Lubbock this fall. They are going to use as much fresh, local produce as possible. The style of food will be seasonal American cuisine with global accents. The menu will change regularly depending on what is in season and available. We are going to be open for lunch Wednesday thru Friday, brunch on Sunday, and dinner Wednesday thru Sunday. Sunday dinner service will be a preset family style menu.

Location: Lubbock is expected to have 2-3 locations in the next couple of years. 2nd location will be on the SE corner of 98th and Slide. Construction to begin mid summer 2014. For the 3rd possible location, they are scouting shopping center spaces on University between 19th and the Marsh Sharp Freeway(across from Tech). This location, if they decide to move forward, will be a Steak n Shake Signature restaurant, The SnS Signatures are smaller and have a limited menu. They also serve alcohol unlike the large Classic Steak n Shakes. (*this can change*)
Location: First location will be on 79th and University (this location also houses a Baskin Robbins). The 2nd/3rd location will be in central Lubbock and the 2nd/3rd location will be on 79th and Milwaukee.
Opening: NOW OPEN on University! Either late 2014 or early 2015 for central Lubbock location. Late 2014 for Milwaukee location.

10/24 update from Scott Womack of Coldwell Banker Commercial: “We’ve changed the name of the center to “The Hub” which should immediately resonate with residents of Lubbock as the city has been referred to as “The Hub City” for 60+ years. We also gave the center a design that is much more contemporary in nature. Construction on the center should begin in the next 30-60 days with an 2nd Q 2014 delivery date for tenants.”

H-E-B Grocery Store
Source 114th and Quaker H-E-B has purchased land. No plans to build as of now.
Possible rumors of HEB, Trader Joe’s, or Whole Foods opening up around 66th and Milwaukee.
The electronic and appliances chain will be opening in the Canyon West Shopping Center, next door to Burlington Coat Factory.
Opening: Could be late 2014, but likely in 2015. As of March 27, construction has begun.
Opening TBA: Pending city approval. Construction has begun.
Very speculative at this point, but they did confirm on Twitter that they may be looking for locations! “@lbkintheloop Unfortunately it’s not on our current grand opening list. It’s possible we’re exploring a location there. Fingers crossed!”
