This week, brunch was had at Crafthouse Gastropub – it was fantastic! There was a wait when we got there, but it was only around ten minutes. As soon as we were seated, we were immediately helped by our waiter. We ordered drinks to start: tequila sunrises, strawberry lemonade bellini and pineapple mint mimosas. All were delicious, my favorite being the bellini.
We had chips and queso blanco for an appetizer. For our meals, we had eggs and bacon cooked perfectly with the special donut (it tasted like cake with chocolate icing!). Then we had spinach and artichoke quiche with the most amazing grits I have ever had in my life. That was followed by lemon scented waffles and, finally, Popi’s chicken fried pork which is everything that is great about the South put onto one plate. There was pork fried to perfection served with amazing biscuits and gravy and fried eggs. I was in heaven! If you decide to go to Crafthouse for brunch, and I highly suggest you do, you have to try Popi’s chicken fried pork! We ended the meal with cheese sticks… fried cheesecake with a strawberry dipping sauce. They were so delightful and the perfect way to end a spectacular brunch!
