Best Places for a Glass of Wine

National Wine Day is May 25, 2016

1.    Caprock Winery

If you haven’t made it out to Caprock Winery, you are really missing out! It is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Lubbock. They have many events throughout the year including comedy nights, girls’ night out, live music, and holiday-themed evenings. If you want to keep it simple, head out to the tasting room Thursday-Saturday for a $10 wine tasting. If it is a nice day, they have a nice patio that faces the vineyards. It is a great place to take a date or to hang out with friends. Caprock also has a variety of wine accessories for purchase along with their amazing wines! Check out their Facebook Page.

2.    McPherson Cellars

Enjoy this awesome winery in downtown Lubbock. The outside sitting area is so unique and a great place to visit with friends over a glass (or bottle!) of wine. It is colorful with couches, metal, art, and a nice water feature. They have special events throughout the year or you can just come out for a $5 wine tasting. Make sure to follow them on Facebook for the latest information on live music and events. Also, if you make it out to the First Friday Art Trail, McPherson will be open with wine, food trucks, art, and sometimes a mini peddler show. They have a variety of award winning wines that you do not want to miss out on!

    Love the local wine scene

Do you know if Pheasant Ridge is planning on doing daily tastings soon?

  2. John Vinings

I agree with all of your choices but include Llano Estacado for tasting wine and atmosphere. However, The Funky Door should be number one choice hands down. Their new international eight course meal with wine pairings is outstanding although pricey.
